Joel Tomkins joins Catalans Dragons on two-year deal

Catalans Dragons have Collaborated Sam Tomkins with older brother Joel in the south of France.

The forward, who was introduced by Hull KR for personal reasons at the 2019 seasons end, has united the Perpignan club.
The Dragons also have been linked with a move for the Tomkins brother, hooker Logan, who played his final match in the Grand Final of Saturday, but are currently playing down the rumours.
Catalans coach Steve McNamara, who as England coach gave Tomkins his Test debut in 2010, said:Joel is a seasoned, hardened competitor that trains and plays to triumph.
He will add good value to all over our organisation and I personally look forward to working together with him after previously preparing him for England.
Tomkins made looks in two spells to get club Wigan in with Saracens where he played for England against Australia between a brief stint in union.
After being suspended by Wigan for an episode in a pub, he combined Hull KR in 2018 and has been appointed captain.
Tomkins said:Since playing against the Dragons in their first-ever Super League match in 2006, I have always admired the clubs ambition to grow and succeed.
Being given the opportunity to be a part of the Catalans Dragons is a great honor for me personally and Im determined to do everything I could to help the team to accomplish success in the next few years.
